Follower focus: January edition

Due to the success of our last 'follower focus' blog post, we've decided to make it a monthly feature on our blog! This month, we have 5 amazing influencers that you've probably seen featured on our socials because we love their content so much!
Houseofvik
Have you seen incredible images of a contemporary grey and white home on your Instagram feed? Chances are it's from Vikki's beautiful home account @houseofvik!
Starting her account in 2020, unfortunately, just before the first lockdown, Vik started her account “originally to log all [her] before and after photos” after unfortunately losing all of her previous photos from previous transformations. Lockdown came as a blessing in disguise as this gave Vik time “extra time to work on [her] account which eventually turned into an obsession” and @houseofvik became the crisp, white wonderland it is today!
We asked Vikki about her inspiration for the account:
“All things crisp white with a hint of grey, and all things modern with a contemporary twist. I also love how panelling can change the look of any room, there are endless possibilities!”
Like many of our favourite home accounts, Vik's passion for her interior decor has opened her eyes to a passion for creating content to showcase her amazing home decor! She shares with us her top tip to using panelling in your own home:
“make sure to measure the room correctly… work out how you want it to look to work out how many pieces you want going vertically and diagonal, then… ask to have it all cut to size when you buy the wood”

Ourhomeonthefold
After living in their beautiful home for 20 years, Janice and her husband decided to renovate their kitchen and build an extension. Unfortunately, the backlash from this meant their garden took a backseat, so they decided to make this their new project once the kitchen was complete!
They “wanted it to feel like an extension of our home when the bi-folds were open, like an extra room/entertaining area.”; making a pergola the perfect fit! Janice tell us how they managed to complete the pergola just in time for Christmas in 2018, spending the period “drinking Mulled Wine inside the Pergola around the fire pit, and a fabulous party on New Year's Eve which we celebrated both inside the house, outside and in the Pergola.”
Spurred on by her friends and family, Janice decided to document her transformations and further projects on Instagram, creating @ourhomeonthefold. Her vision for the page was to inspire other home and garden lovers with sleek transformations on a budget!
Janet's words of wisdom to all aspiring DIYers is “to look at home accounts on Instagram first for ideas” and “Be creative with your own style and don't be afraid to have a go. Everything DIY is on YouTube nowadays for help.”
House_proud_dads
Like many of our favourite home accounts, @house_proud_dads started their account as a way to document their first home and the ways in which they are constantly upgrading their interior and exterior decor.
They quickly became popular in the renovation community with their stunning DIY transformations on a budget, encouraging their followers to have a positive, can-do attitude to DIY. Perhaps fundamental to their success is their honest and open approach, recently sharing their detailed adoption process with their followers and other aspects of their personal lives.
The pair's most recent transformation is a complete overhaul of their garden. Describing it as a “labour of love” the pair have redone their decking, transformed the turf and added screens to the walls to name only a few changes. Documenting the whole process on their Instagram, they told us that it “resulted in a transformation way better than we had imagined, our decorative screens from @screenwithenvy really add a unique touch to the space”. You can view the whole transformation here.

Wilsonresidence
After moving into a mistreated home in 2019, @wilsonresidence has spent the last 3 years transforming their home into a pad to be proud of! “Faffing around with the decor” is her speciality, her home constantly updated with the latest monochrome furnishings!
Her favourite change, and ours too, is the decking area and the patio doors. Reflecting the interior of her home, her monochrome decking hosts a beautiful black and grey rattan sofa, the walls embellished with a range of our decorative garden screens and trellises as displayed in the photo below.
She echoes our thoughts when it comes to decorative furnishings-
“Investing in your home decor is like investing in yourself, if you're happy in your surroundings, then you will live a happier life!”
Good quality home furnishings is our speciality at Screen With Envy, we understand that investing in decor means you want items to last!

Ouringlefield
Starting her account after being inspired by other Instagram home account, Steph has transformed her once standard home and garden into a gorgeous entertaining space decked with “full-length planter[s], a separate seating area and real grass”.
Steph's goal was to stick to traditional decor as much as possible but give it a modern twist. For example, she “wanted to keep the traditional fence colour but add some attractive features”, which is where our Moucharabiya screens came into play (seen above)
Steph has also used our Frond screens to clad the fence surrounding her hot tub alongside a 'living wall' and planter, tying together the botanical theme!
Steph told us how she “eventually want[s] to screen the full length of the fence where the seating area is [as] the screens add something different, taking it from bland to attractive”. We cannot wait to see Steph's updates and transformations this year, make sure to follow her page to keep up with the latest news on her projects!

A huge thank you to all our contributors to this month's follower focus, we are in awe of all their transformations and we look forward to seeing what they come up with next!
Is there someone you think we should put in the spotlight? Perhaps your project is something we should focus on? Pop us a message on Instagram and let us know!
